Cohesive Silicone Gel

 

While breast implants have been safely used since the early 1960s, Natrelle was the first to use a safer, more advanced cohesive silicone gel. Unlike traditional silicone, cohesive silicone gel does not spill or lose its shape in the unlikely event that the shell of the breast implant ruptures. Cohesive silicone gel has a thick consistency like a jelly, which means the gel stays put! All of our implants are cohesive to some degree; how much depends upon which type your surgeon chooses. That means that Natrelle breast implants offer the look and natural feel of silicone and lasting safety.

 

INTRASHIEL™ Barrier Technology and Unique Shell Design

 

In addition to cohesive silicone gel, breast implants in the Natrelle™ Collection offer an additional layer of safety, for an added sense of security. Our patented INTRASHIEL™ Barrier Technology is an additional safety barrier layer designed to minimize silicone gel diffusion. Our unique shell design is composed of several high-performance silicone elastomer layers for enhanced shell integrity.

 

BIOCELL™ Texturisation:

 

The surface of an implant can either be smooth or come with BIOCELL™  texturisation. The textured range of breast implants in the Natrelle™ Collection feature a unique, proprietary surface texture technology known as BIOCELL™. BIOCELL™ technology gives superior tissue adherence, which helps maintain proper implant position within the breast.
